Bloody Mountain is a beautiful peak towering over Mammoth to the south. I had a few days to spare in my Sierra trip in summer 2022, so Bloody Mountain was the last peak I climbed. I started in the late afternoon in Mammoth, hitchhiked along the Sherwin Road, and arrived at the top for a beautiful sunrise. The next day I hiked down to Convict Lake.
