Another early summer trip, Bridget Noe and I headed out to Tuolumne Meadows. We planned a loop clockwise. After hiking a few miles in the first day, we setup camp. The second day featured a long sit by a lake for me while I waited for the two of them to climb Lyell and Macclure. This was very peaceful and regenerative for me. Somehow, Bridget and Noe were able to push on after a long day, and we tackled another pass. They both remarked that their minds were blank from the long day in the mountains. We setup camp at last light, at the base of Florence.
On Sunday, we hiked over Florence and then through a canyon back to the Vogelsang Pass Trail. We tagged Vogelsang, and then marched back to Tuolumne. It was a spectacular trip, and we didn’t see anyone else for the better part of two days. This trip gave me the confidence in my knee to try a seven peak linkup the next week.
