Mills

Mills had been high on my list for a while. Finally, I had a day to spare, and it wasn’t too smoky. I camped up in Rock Creek, and set out at sunrise. I had always been a little bit nervous about the final chute. It has a reputation for being loose and sketchy. I was relieved to not have too much trouble bypassing the chockstone, and soon I was on the summit. The summit has incredible views of Mt. Abbot, Gabb, Stanford and many other peaks.

The chute is certainly loose. I would recommend going alone or with one other person max. Other than that, this is a beautiful half-day hike filled with incredible views.
