I said goodbye to Matt at after Homer’s Nose. I was exhausted, but had about 2 more hours to drive before making it to the next trailhead. After 10 hours of sleep, I felt much better, and drove the last few miles to the trailhead. Both peaks took about nine hours in total. Overall, the day went very smoothly.

I was feeling good, so I drove a few more beautiful hours on 190 towards the Kern River. I was enchanted by the trees, the grand scale of the surroundings and the solitude. Oh how magical the Southern Sierra can be.
