Rixford, Bago, University

A short but beautiful trip into the High Sierra with Noe and Bridget. I was worried about my knee, as it had been bothering me all winter. I twisted it on the CDT and it was never the same. Finally, I paid the big bucks for an MRI. As it turns out, I have plica syndrome. I thought I would have to rest, but the doc said I could hike up to 15 miles. With this in mind, I headed out for a chill trip.

We kept the pace casual, hiking a peak each day, and leaving lots of time to chill in the afternoon. There is nothing like the calm of laying out in the High Sierra for a few hours and watching the light slowly shift. Overall, my knee held up great, except for kicking steps down University Col. I frequently iced it in the snow, which seemed to help. This trip gave me confidence that I would still be able to get a lot of peakbagging in this summer, and indeed I did!.
